It’s more a loss for the Republicans for allowing such an incredibly poor candidate to run.

@PJRayment Yes I totally agree some of candidates thrown up by both sides has been very poor. However if a brain damaged Democrat can beat a Republican what does that say about the standard of the Republican candidate.

@patriciarusch1891 Or just maybe people thought Mehmet Oz was a conman.

As further evidence of my comment if you look at the results at the November mid terms in Georgia the Republicans won everything else. In the runoffs Warnock actually increased his win to 3 points over Walker so yes a poor candidate is the likely reason, but please Republicans believe whatever you want.

@PJRayment Whoever suggested American politics was a level playing field. I can't believe you are suggesting Mehmet Oz with all his high profile in the media suffered from lack of messaging. You blame the media and a lack of debate. Keep believing that. I assume you advise the Republican party, I can only hope.

@deborah5763 Raphael Warnock was a Baptist minister and while I agree he is no clean skin I think evil is a bit over the top

@PJRayment What a wonderfully sweet and naive view of American politics you have, "if all things are equal. You don't follow it much do you. I don't follow it much either as both sides are pretty much nutjobs, but I'll run with your wild conspiracy theory that it's always the media bias that gets the poor unfortunate Republican the hard end of the stick. I only hope the Republican party keeps throwing up candidates like Oz and Walker as they certainly provide entertainment. Phil you really do then need to get into positions of influence in the conservative parties, please, please, please. I agree Warnock was a terrible candidate and yet he still managed to smash the Republican in the run-offs. In a deeply conservative state like Georgia it could of only been media bias, you must be right. Believe that. Georgia has Republican governor and legislative and Secretary of state. It had voted for Republican presidents as far back as 1996 except for Biden. Please keep running with your evidence. It is a joy to behold.

@PJRayment And once again your suggestion that left wing media bias against Walker in a state that overwhelming votes Republican and did at the mid terms short of one senate position only further proves my point that if the Republicans had run just a half sensible candidate they would have won. Georgia just wants to vote Republican but not even Republicans could vote for the dimwit they put up.

To quote the Foreign editor of "The Australian". In conventional terms, Walker was one of the worst candidates the Republicans have ever fielded for the senate" Walker is then described as a Non political celebrity with a colossally disturbed personal life, a string of distressed wives, mistresses and hostile children in the background, no discernible political ideas before running for election, no real interest in policy, an instinct nonetheless to fight the left of politics, a willingness to embrace positions at odds with his own life and behaviour, and above all a sycophantic loyalty to Trump himself. The result was that Republicans won Georgia stateside races when non Trump candidates ran. Not my words I just read them 5 minutes ago and was unaware of most of that. But sure Phil keep going down that left wing media conspiracy theory it has winner written all over it.

@PJRayment Fair enough, but my comment was specifically aimed at the Georgia senate run-offs.

@PJRayment Fine let's talk Pennsylvania. I have little knowledge or care but from what I have quickly read. Fetterman entered politics in 2006 and had success both as a local mayor and Lt Governor with a solid record of policy opinion and views, and then ran for the Senate. The Republicans threw up against him Mehmat Oz a ex surgeon/snake oil salesman/ TV celebrity who up until 2019 supported abortion rights. The public clearly saw through the veneer of his views. Once again a decent Republican candidate would have at least made a decent run of it particularly as Fetterman was recovering from a stroke and still smashed the snake oil salesman. Pennsylvania is mostly a Democrat state
1
@PJRayment Yeah right the reason states are Democrat or Republican is down to the media, sure if that's what you want to believe. Fundamentalism will do that to you.
1
@PJRayment In a mid term election where the house was returned to the Republicans you cling to your left wing media conspiracy fantasy which is clearly why the Democrats lost seats, all that left wing media bias. It is only left wing because you are so far to the ultra right that Mitch OConnell looks like a commie to you. yes you are ripe for mocking.
1
@PJRayment Just keep on believing it’s left wing media bias that is keeping the Republicans out of office.
1
@PJRayment Like I said Phil you really need to able to influence conservatives parties policies.
