Wasn’t he the wanker that made it illegal in the first place. Hilarious.

@frua97 Are you suggesting private industry be given an unregulated market to construct and run a nuclear power grid. Hilarious, and you made that comment with a straight face. Comedy gold. Where do you perform at, because I’d pay to watch your standup routine. Absolutely brilliant. Keep the one liners coming.

Virtually 100% of PV cell and a wind turbine are recyclable. There are companies all around the world doing so. In the US wind turbine blades are being turned into cement for the construction industry. All that is required is a little amount of imagination and some legislation. A point to note is that LCOE studies don’t account for the cost of decommissioning a nuclear plant or the cost of recycling used renewable infrastructure.

@_Sammy_J Nope. You misunderstood, not encased in concrete, actually recycled into an ingredient of concrete. Renewables + 90% viability + storage, backed by some gas peaking is as reliable as nuclear and significantly cheaper. You are factually wrong.

@Lord_Samael_de_Monasteriis If your understanding of how the electricity grid will work is that there will be a big battery that power the city then you are misinformed. The AMEO have clearly laid out in their reports that a combination of renewables + storage + viability, with some gas peaking will provide all the electricity we will need. Renewables means wind, solar, and biomass. Storage means hydro, home batteries, and large scale batteries. Viability means capacity. No need for nuclear at all plus it would be too expensive anyway.

@_Sammy_J You missed the hydro part in storage. There is no need for 7 day battery requirement. Where did you get that idea?
