@DavidNotSolomon Interestingly you chose to defend Murrays comment by mentioning an issue that is not a problem. In actual fact currently indigenous persons in custody die at a rate significantly lower than the general prison population. The real issue is the ridiculous over representation of indigenous persons, particularly women who are imprisoned. You then load your language with the use of the word "elites" to describe people whose opinion you don't agree with. Further more I have no understanding how working in someone's community is required for you to be able to empathise with them, and see no sense in how remaining silent on a subject allows someone else a voice, particularly when they are in a disadvantaged minority.

@DavidNotSolomon Fair enough, and perhaps I am being overly defensive but these days the use of the word "elite" is used by some people to as a derogatory term. With sky news I would not be surprised if they had edited out any indigenous speakers to allow the narrative Murray wanted to portray. Paul Murray is one of the most bias commentators on Sky news and anything he comments on you really need to fact check.
