  1. No that is factually incorrect. The universally accepted definition of a recession (two consecutive quarters of negative growth) has not happened in the US since 2020 under Trump. You have made a clearly false statement unsupported by the facts which are easily demonstrated.

  2. No but it is universally accepted by economists the tariffs implemented by the US in the early 30s after the stock market crash contributed significantly to the Great Depression. There is always a first and the odds are now in favour of at least the US going into recession later on this year.
