  2. ​@BushMan-js8jw A simple request to be recognised in our constitution was overwhelmingly rejected. Now not everyone that voted no is a racist, but every racist voted no. Indigenous peoples were completely ignored in the debates, discussions, conventions, and referendums that formed our constitution, other than some clauses that were themselves explicitly racist. Some of those causes still remain. I'm a white Anglo male and as such i have personally witnessed numerous racist activities. Sometimes I have intervened and sometimes it was just not possible, almost always in conversation when someone says something racist i will correct them to the point most people who know me have modified their language. Multiple laws in this country specifically disadvantage indigenous people. Imagine if it was illegal to be intoxicated in your home, how many white Anglo males would be gaol?
