@dfor50 OMG you don’t understand the difference between constitutional power and legislation. Any legislative power given, can be removed by legislation. Parliament deals with literally hundreds of pieces of legislation a year. Clearly you are ignorant or unconcerned by these pieces of legislation. So be honest what is your real concern.

Chapter IX Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples 129 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice In recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia: there shall be a body, to be called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice; the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice may make representations to the Parliament and the Executive Government of the Commonwealth on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; the Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws with respect to matters relating to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, including its composition, functions, powers and procedures The powers you refer to are not the voices power but the parliaments power to make laws for the voice. OMG why do I bother, again you were always going to vote no, why, and be honest.

@dfor50 No you are being deliberately evasive. The government has been perfectly clear it will be an advisory body. It can't have any powers. You have misread the constitutional amendment. For some reason, mischievously I suspect, you have deliberately attempted to read into a benign wording some evil crap, again why? What are you so terrified of that you openly need to lie and spread misinformation.
