Spoken just like someone would if their family was in the coal business.

@louminarty I have inundated you with data that was unnecessary.

So the blackouts have already started as coal powered plants failed.
1
@louminarty seriously do you want me to list the coal powered generator failures? Just NSW in the last 10 years. Fossil fuel generators broke down on 135 different occasions in 2018 alone. Coal generators failed once every three days. The list will follow I hope you have the time to read it, it may take awhile.

@louminarty In Feb 2017 more than 2000 megawatts of coal and gas failed. It meant that Australia's.largest smelter had to curtail production to avoid state wide blackouts. The AMEO report confirmed Liddell, the gas fired plant at Colongra and the Tallawarra gas plant all simultaneously failed. Do you wish for me to continue?

Fossil fuels plants regularly brakedown.

@I never apologise This such a loaded question. Supply and demand determine the price. All LCOE studies prove conclusively that wind and solar produce cleaner and cheaper electricity than coal and gas. The biggest price increases in electricity in Australia occurred immediately after the Abbott government dumped the Gillard government's Clean energy bill, as electricity infrastructure companies passed on the maintenance costs as they were privatised. The cost of electricity will rise with inflation and as other general items costs increases. The simple answer you what though is yes in the short term no in the long term

@stewatparkpark2933 And that's all you need to do with renewables.
1
@coal_man Why because I uttered an undeniable truth?

@I never apologise Nuclear is certainly a option for some countries, it is reliable and safe, but expensive. It also has the problem of weapon proliferation, as even these SMRs can make U233 and U233 bombs work. So strict regulations are required and that is expensive.
1
@I never apologise Well we already sell it to anybody that wants to buy it.
1
@I never apologise If you have no concern about the proliferation of WMD there is little to add on that point.
1
@DJ-yj1vg Most definitely. All commercial enterprise are vulnerable to this. To increase profit they cut costs and maintenance/safety are often to first to go. It is why we need government regulation.

@Nat-kt9pj Who's hands should they be in?
1
@Nat-kt9pj Your answer makes you appear incoherent.
1
@Nat-kt9pj Irrationality seems to be your speciality

Spoken just like someone who wants the profits of the family business to stay in the family.
