Annual GDP growth in Bidens first year of office 5.6%. Four years under Trump 2.33, 3, 2.2, -3.5. In what reality are you living? Unemployment rate sits currently at 4.2% and is 2.5 points lower from November 2020. Again what planet are you on? Dow Jones increase in 2021 18.7%. By what measure are you going by? Your gut feeling or hard economic data? Yes inflation has been high at 7%, but wage growth for last year averaged out at approximately 10%. Do you see a pattern forming here?

@eric kanter I specifically mentioned inflation so your comment is useless, and you didn't mention wage growth so don't make unbalanced comment. I by no means suggest everything is OK there are many problems facing the US and the ridiculous division being created by the hard right and the hard left isn't helping as exposed by some of the stupid comments here.

@eric kanter The exact same insane monetary policy contributed to the greatest economy ever (according the President Trump) and government debt as a portion of GDP is now at 122%. To blame Biden is simplistic, recessions, defence budget growth and unfunded tax cuts have all contributed from previous administrations. Build back better is funded, however I am somewhat sceptical. It is a bit rich for Republicans who while they were in control spent like drunken sailors to now blame Democrats for spending programs.

@debbiestone101 I have no understanding why a $300 tax credit per child for families earning up to $150000 and single parents up to $11200 you find so offensive yet presumably you had no problems with the Republican tax cuts that benefited the top 1% of taxpayers $61090 and did nothing for the low to moderate tax payers $390.

OK try this on for size. The Biden administration Covid relief bill provided a direct payment of $1400, a $300 per week unemployment supplement, expanded child tax credit, and put extra funding into vaccine distribution. US exports grew 8.1% in the second half of 2021. The deficient with China decreased by $3.2 billion as well. Average monthly job growth for 2021 was 555000. It is just completely nonsensical to suggest that economically the US is being set up for failure. Please offer up just one data set that supports your statement.
