Hilarious story. We used to do this all the time in training when using blanks as no damage was done until……………we are at a range practice group and zero and I can’t remember his name but he settles himself down to fire his couple of warmer settlers and out goes a automatic burst that caused a stop to the practice and obviously an investigation. Fortunately the officer who had shown us how to put the matchsticks in place was the officer who was put in charge of the investigation, hence it went nowhere. Great times.
