Great reporting, im glad they earmarked some serious money to mental health. I wish texas would do the same. We have lost almost all of our psychiatric hospitals, they keep closing them. Where I live in North Texas they really need one in every city, and that's no exaggeration. Everything around here is piecemeal, and ppl have to jump thru alot of hoops to get admitted and when u are admitted they keep u 2 days and then release you. There are so many veterans and homeless, who need services as well as juveniles, everyday working ppl who may be in crisis and ppl who go in amd out of jail as well as domestic abusers. There are all kinds of ppl who need mental health services and not jail, but we just have no facilities beyond jails and prisons to serve them.
