Googled him and he had a Long rap sheet. The way he died was he was running from police, swallowed a baggie of drugs and didn't tell the jail staff. There was no way to know what a person ingested unless they say something. It would he great to tell the whole story instead of leaving key information out. This is not news and wfaa is wrong for presenting this story as if the jail did something wrong which is what y'all did by leaving out information. No one killed him...he killed himself. He has a drug habit and stole $360 worth of meat and ran. Don't discredit your good name reporting half narratives. This man record goes back to 1996....yes I'm a master at google searches. Y'all ought to quit

@kevinbaker1476 yes coca is terrible and I do not agree with their practices or the way they treat the inmates. We agree on that. What I'm saying is in the article I read it stated he swallowed drugs and don't say anything. So that is the only point of disagreement. I don't know which is true...maybe cca did not respond...maybe he didn't tell than. We will never truly know that....the one dude is saying they said they needed medical care but did they tell them he swallowed drugs?

If only u knew...yes sometimes jail staff doesn't do the due diligence to ensure ppl are treated medically but if you have ever worked in a jail you would know the inmates don't always care about their own health...they refuse treatments even after being urged to go to the nurse. They bang their own heads on metal doors and windows, try to tattoo themselves with nonsterile makeshift needles, refuse diabetic treatments and psychiatric care. I've seen gay inmates having sex with each other with no protection knowing the other party has aids. This is a common occurance.....all jail staff can do is write them up...but it doesn't stop them from having sex. So tell me how that is staffs fault? We cant discipline or separate them because they're gay or hiv+ so what are we supposed to do? But only when things go wrong is staff blamed. At the end of the day these ARE grown ppl who can make decisions for themselves yet have to be babied and talked into going to the nurse or infirmary. I know it makes for a good story but you should come inside the jails and see HOW THE INMATES VIEW THEIR OWN HEALTH. They don't care about their health only want someone to sue.
