I don't have student debt because I made other decisions with my life....I'm sorry but I don't think ppl who made the choice to go to a school they couldn't afford should be put on the rest of us. If you create a debt you need to pay it. Period. Its not like a foreclosure where if you default on your debt there is a valuable property that can be resold and the bank can recoup their money. You got the degree and the knowledge and the job and then don't want to pay your debt. And alot of these borrowers didn't just get a bachelor's.......they got a masters or a doctorate, they continually go to school and tack up more and more degrees and then go do non profit work, start their own business, be a stay at home parent or work at a factory. Alot of these ppl who have these degrees end up working regular jobs or never use their degree or they have a masters but only hold a job that requires a bachelors or high school degree. It's stupid. We should not to on the hook for others bad decisions.

When a plumber can make more than a person with a masters in Russian drama or liberal arts or African American studies or gender studies....I blame the over educated person who keep taking classes and courses that aren't going to provide return on investment. The plumber or electrician is actually the smarter of the two. They didn't waste time and money trying to get a piece of paper but actually spent the least amount to learn a useful set of skills that will make them money until they die 🙃 I mean it's your right to take the class but just know you're taking it for fun or personal enjoyment not for $$$. Imagine ppl with graduate degrees begging for govt subsidies!!!!! No smarty pants you're supposed to be the educated one.....put that degree to work, get a job and pay your debts
