Ppl are stupid, when I worked at a jail b4 all the lgbtqia protections EVERYBODY was stripped searched by the same gender then they changed policy where transgender can choose with gender they feel comfortable with for their search, transgender has to have 2 ppl present (I guess for liability) it's so watered down to the point they run the whole jail system, they tried to tell the employees to call them by their preferred gender which I was cool with, I don't care I respect everyone but I had some coworkers who refused to call a guy maam or a girl sir. It created alot of problems.... lgbtqia sometimes go overboard with their expectations and requests. The purpose of jail workers is to secure everyone, u don't get to not be searched because u are transgender or feel this person can't searched you or whatever...I understand privacy and respect but everyone gets searched regardless of what's between ut legs or how u identify. You can't refused to be booked.....nowadays they just go by what the person says they are or how they present but not every place is like that. I don't think corrections has caught up with societal changes.... most big cities aren't gonna go feeling down there to make sure or make a big fuss over genetalia but if u go to jail in a small town they might make a big issue out of it
