  1. Missing white woman syndrome is real. I remember the chandra levy case, Natalie Holloway and Jonbenet Ramsey case....the media droned on about their cases for YEARS, even gabby petito. I've recently sought out and found some youtube channels focused on missing black men and women and pocs and NONE of their stories were featured anywhere else or were only featured locally on maybe 1 or 2 channels. It's soooo many ppl, it's sad. I don't why this phenomenon exists bc I know the news will report a variety of news topics and probably don't mean to disregard them but they do. That's why I'm thankful for outlets and channels like Leah Gordon, black and missing, black news network, tv1, and the organizations bringing awareness to missing trans/ LGBT and native people who do not get the attention from main stream media
