  1. It'll take 15 years or so to complete I'm sure.... That will always be a poverty stricken area. You can dress it up all u want. High poverty and high crimes equals undesirable area. Pick any city in America. Detroit, Southside chicago, south Dallas, stop six. Its all the same. Millions of dollars spent to fix what? Poverty and despair is a state of mind. If ppl really want to do better, they will. Hard Work and education is the only way to escape poverty and govt assistance and to move into higher incomes and upper middle class. Relying on govt won't cut it

Don't get me wrong I'm fine with low income folks getting safer living environments and all that but over time it will be run down and anything govt sponsored is never taken care of or maintained properly. Google cabrini green, Google Bexar villages....still high crime and low income, major economic, health and education disparities....a Starbucks and a target won't fix that
