@marcusrosales3344 no, as in having the urges come out is physically uncomfortable
12
@amphiumaiii7058 hm maybe that’s just mocking a disability tho if you think about it, but I get your intention, maybe we should just not work with customers heheh
12
@SC-pg7jr if you lived with it you probably would, it’s far from fun
11
@channy6995 that’s v separate tbh, I mean sure there’s co occurring disorders but it’s not relevant to the fact that it’s a movement disorder if that makes sense
9
it’s not funny when it’s every day :(
9
you literally have no choice with disability, just like any other condition you adapt.
7
that’s not what Tourette’s is. only 10% of ppl with Tourette’s swear. I hope you actually listened to what was said
6
uses a different part of the brain so the misfired signals are diverted
5
@brainderp808 weirder living with it🤣v hard to explain to others
5
@freak0rico167 yes they do, how would you possibly be able to know or understand? I live with it and it set me off and just bc you don’t understand it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. what does a real case look like, do explain.
5
Funny how?? Exhausting.
4
I agree w this, it’s ruined my life :/
4
I mean we are all people like non touretters
4
Depends on what you’ve been exposed to, what you watch or hear etc
3
I have slight voice change when it’s a tic and I’m not usually sweary anyway but sometimes you’ve got to explain if it was a tic or not
3
She isn’t. How would you know, mr neurologist
3
They do though, nice try though!
3
No, I rarely ever have thoughts as tics, it’s a misconception. This title is misleading.
2
yeah but not as funny when in public
2
don’t feel bad. it’s a whole spectrum of severity and different tic disorders. glad you watched this to educate!
2
Please don’t call us that. We are people. Just like you. It’s literally a chemical imbalance. It hurts when people say they’re scared. We feel out of control of our own bodies but we think just like you and mean no harm so please don’t be scared of us and don’t use the word possessed.
2
No that’s not what he’s saying
2
@RainWalking I have no idea tbh, but some ppl prefer certain things even if it doesn’t sound like it makes sense to you
2
@RainWalking only bc you can never have a deep insight in someone’s life. I have Tourette’s but will experience it differently. It’s not worth arguing and getting irritated over is my point.
2
@RainWalking it’s your comment in the first place that has an irritated tone just from one comment someone has that you cannot understand, but luckily I don’t have the energy to engage in this anymore. I’ve not changed my mind, the conclusion is I ultimately don’t know and what you stated is not what I think he meant with his comment. Each to their own I suppose.
2
Mostly with anxiety around saying it and what you’ve been exposed to eg what you hear around you. If someone is sweary on the street it will trigger my own swears
2
@ForeverSlytherin it’s pretty much any word or combo of words my brain knows and it’s all mushed into randomness like shuffle play
2
I developed it at 18 at uni, so it’s sometimes caused by other things that aren’t gene related.
2
no different
2
Because also movements are limiting too, I wouldn’t be able to carry things or work with people and have seizure like tic attacks out of the blue lasting an hour. I cannot work. It’s extremely difficult to find jobs without much communication
1
I feel like I’m the only one on the street, that one person, who has Tourette’s. I honestly don’t know where everyone else is 🤣
1
try not to stare, I know it attracts attention but stares make tics way worse and louder etc
1
Why
1
@josealexanderocampo3805 well, you have the urge to do something so your body is controlling you
1
Tourette’s is more than swearing and it’s also far less funny when living w it every day and being in public
1
10% swear actually, and we don’t ‘always’
1
No but some ppl choose not to. I have awareness cards if someone is staring a lot or if there’s a misunderstanding
1
@_finsta.party._1188 same! rlly isolating sometimes.
