I’m trying to warn as many people as I can, we should be very skeptical of DeSantis. I’ve been sounding the alarm (along with few others) about my gut feeling and a majority of conservatives are not even willing to give it any second thought. It’s just a little disappointing to see how many conservatives are just as swayed by media/cultural trends as anybody else. I’m just asking everyone to be skeptical, that’s all. People like David French, Jeb Bush, the Lincoln Project, etc. seem to want us to see him as the “new Trump.” And many news outlets including Google seem to cover him too positively for my comfort. I believe we are being set up. I’m not saying we have to stick with Trump necessarily (although I do feel a certain level of loyalty to him since the momentum behind the new conservative movement belongs to him), but I’m feeling a push from, all the wrong people, to think of Ron DeSantis as our new leader

@Turkoman969 you’re falling for a trap sir. You can call me a cultist all you want but DeSantis is getting support from the likes of Lindsay Graham and McConnell because he is not a threat to them

@ElTigre12024 yeah he’s not perfect, which is why I’d like to see someone new come out honestly, but DeSantis ain’t it. You can mark my words he will be Bush 2.0

@Turkoman969 they’re still trying to have him arrested. Search both of their names on (search engine) and see who they’re trying to paint in a good light and in a bad light

@ElTigre12024 btw DeSantis doesn’t actually have a solid record. His voting record in congress was sub par, and his record as governor shows a lot of rhetorical victory but policy is severely lacking

@con277qqq DeSantis has proven to be effective rhetorically, but his policy is severely lacking. And governing a mostly-red state with Republican state government is easier than the country which is way more split. With how much republican support he has in Florida’s state government, he should be doing a LOT more. Like his “anti groomer” bill should’ve done a lot more than “you can talk about the nonsense but NOT during class time, and you can do it whenever you want once they hit 4th grade”

@John-kc4cg rhetorically yeah he’s conservative, but his policy is surprisingly centrist. People like trump because he’s an outsider. DeSantis will “play ball” guaranteed. And Trump may not be 100% pro-white but he’s the most White Positive president we’ve ever had

@jamesduncan6729 maybe not, but they say “we can have Trumpism without Trump” which is basically the same thing. Like it or not, the momentum behind our movement wouldn’t exist without Trump so he is the de facto leader of the party.
