Hopefully people are starting to see that what people do in their personal lives affects society as a whole, because we are not solitary beings.

  25. I realized recently that I was indoctrinated in school as well. I always knew this on a smaller level but thought “I’m so glad I went through school before they started teaching this kind of Marxist anti-society, anti-family garbage.” But that is not entirely true... this whole idea of “follow your heart and don’t let people tell you what you can or can’t be” is BS. While there’s some value in it, it still creates and incentivized anti social behavior that makes you hear constructive criticism as “they are just haters.” They got rid of auto/woodshop and home economics because it was “unsafe and/or sexist.” They got rid of true competition and the idea that your job in life is to bring value to your community and your family that actually furthers growth and prosperity. And that is what makes for a great and moral society. It was never fully lost on me, but I realize this stuff is still deeply ingrained in our minds as millennials and we are weaker and less competent for it. Everything we were taught was molding the world we live in now

As a millennial, I have to hear all the time that millennials are the “everyone gets a trophy” generation... well, yeah, but who gave us the trophies??
