  2. I saw feminism ruin a woman I dated firsthand. She did the whole “I’m empowering myself” shtick and (I won’t go into the details, it would be a long story) 4 years later she is complaining about getting older without having a mate. Over the years she claimed she was discriminated against, held down by patriarchy, and even that she was raped and threatened multiple times (I don’t believe it honestly given her cavalier attitude toward the man that “raped her”)... anyway, I honestly feel bad for her, but she did this, no one else. I think she’s waking up (and not a moment too soon, she’s almost 35). This was not a well-formed telling of the story, but I think you get the point.
