  1. When I was growing up in the 1970's my mother often cooked pork chops for dinner. The fear of trichinosis led her to transform these otherwise tender chops into SHOE LEATHER! Even today I have an aversion to them because of my memories of dry, chewy and downright flavourless cuts of meat...šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«
