  2. Wow you sound like me! Had my first job at 14 and just like you, my goal is to retire! I have no intention of working to full retirement age. I just turned 60 in July! Just two more years to go! I will just have to live a minimal lifestyle since I am not college educated and have had a lifetime of low paying jobs and have lived most of my life paycheck to paycheck. I am currently unemployed after a huge layoff in April and TBH, I am in no big hurry to get back into the workplace though, for the very reasons you mentioned.

  3. I was laid off from my job in April. I got a few phone numbers from coworkers that I liked because they tell you at job search seminars that networking helps in your job searches, but to tell you the truth, MOST of the people I worked with I DON"T EVER want to have any contact with again, in the workplace or otherwise!

  4. I was pulled into HR because of coworkers complaining about my attitude. I explained to HR that I don't go to work to make friends, but I don't want to make enemies either. I have bills to pay like everyone else. If I were independently wealthy, I wouldn't work at all, but unfortunately I don't belong to the 'lucky sperm club'.

  7.  @Nwladylaura369  O. M. G. I worked at McDonald's when I was in my 20's (circa 1980's) and when the closing manager introduced herself to me she proudly announced "They call me The Bitch". I was taken aback because what does one say in response to that? "Congratulations"??? 🤔🤔🤔
