  1. The other Steelers from that era love and respect Rocky but they still love to tease him when they get the chance. Rocky made a leaping touchdown catch in a super bowl. Mel Blount said the play took 6 seconds, but it takes the rock 20 minutes to tell the story.

  2. The steelers and the Oilers played some great football in the 70s. I don't recall any of my friends "hating" the Oilers, only much respect. One year, I forget which, the Steelers were on the edge of being eliminated from the playoffs and needed the Oilers to win a game where they were underdogs. The Oilers played their best game of the year, won the game and put the steelers in. The steeler players all kicked in and bought fancy briefcases for the oilers players.

  3. Rocky Blier was, and remains, my all time favorite Steeler. I saw him play at 3 Rivers many times.
