  1. Germany did not go to war with Britain, It went to war with the British Empire, upon which the sun never set. The Empire contained 25% of the land mass and 30% of the worlds population and an economy the equal of America. American production was not merely fortunate in its weather. Britain's difficulty with manufacturing is a direct result of Britains decision to prevent colonies from being able to manufacture. I hear the weather is nice in Capetown SA, too bad there weren't a dozen or so steel mills.
