@filonin2 "there is no reason you could not use renewable powered" or, you know, you could use that renewable power to simply not have to use fossil fuels in the first place ? At a greater efficiency/output ? There are some exception when what you say makes sense, but currently it's very VERY rare to have excess renewable power and not be able to use it directly, meaning you can use it for carbon capture.

Isn't it proven already that it's practically impossible to have carbon capture without downsizing using fossil fuels to a level in which the CO2 in the atmosphere starts to lower ? Isn't that scientific ? The scale is as ludicrous as literally every single person on earth having its own aeroplane. Theoretically possible, practically impossible (and really dumb too). Just like carbon capture without transitioning away from fossil fuels. Science isn't just physics!
