I reeeaaaally don't believe that URK were killing ethnic russians, I'm sure that's russian propaganta. It's well known that Russia will interfere at much MUCH minor things when it can play the "protect our russian people" card. They've done that all the time in the whole last century, including (lots of it) in the last 20 years too. UKR (nor anybody) wouldn't risk it.
