  1. That would actually be best, since that means that China won't suddenly have 60% of the global chip manufacturing in their pockets. If TSMC disappears, then Samsung and Intel will boom in profitability as everybody will fight on getting chips produced. I guess whatever China has in house will also boom in production and profitability. But it will be a huge distruption too, as a lot of chips will simply not be made anymore, smartphones and many industries will suddenly have huge bottlenecks. Trump is crazy enough to welcome a situation like this.
