The sad thing is that it mostly needs hardware manufacturers support, and Linux is no central organization with lots of funds (or dominating market presence) to convince the manufacturers to do it. Well, it has the Linux foundation, but it doesn't have that kind of finances. And Linux desktop is still only a minor minor part of Linux.

  2.  @ararune3734  I paid for it my Window 10 Pro key. I got it on a sale for only about $8. And before that I bought Win 10 Home for my mom's computer, though that I didn't got on sale, it was something like $40 IIRC. My laptop came with Win 10 Home preinstalled, that I later applied the 10 Pro on. The thing is, in both cases we're actually using it. So we're paying for it, because that's what a normal, decent human should be doing. Pay for it and then you have the right to complain to Microsoft about its downsides. If one would be using it without paying for it, that's being a hypocrite (with few exceptions). And a contributor to the shitshow ad-infested apocalypse we're in right now.

With 15.44% for Windows 11 and 9.6% for Windows 7 and 2.5% for Windows 8, that's a total 98.83%. Add 0.4% from Windows XP and Windows has over 99% of personal computers around the world ??? Then at 2:36 you basically say the correct numbers now, Windows in total has 76%, and from that 76%, 71.3% are Windows 10. Meaning that a total of 0.76 * 0.7129 = 54.18% of the personal computers around the world are running Windows 10 2) Comparing Windows 11 market share to diseases is just very petty and cringe. You're releasing your hate on it, in the same way that people are getting toxic on social media. It's ok to have this at a talk with some friends when having a beer, but not here, in the wider public. Like I said, it's petty. Making fun of it's growth in a really weird way. Someone coming from Windows and seeing this will certainly not be convinced to switch, it will think all Linux guys are lunatics living in their bubble, making fun of "only 15%" while they have 2%. Other than that, like others said, Windows had this cycle of "bad release followed by good release" several times now, so most likely Windows 11 users will stay low until in 2024 we'll get Windows 12 which will be a refinement of Windows 11, aka it will work very well out of the box. Still with ads and telemetry through the roof, but it won't be so much in your way. And it will be better than Windows 11 in absolutely all aspects and people will then upgrade.

  5.  @NonTrova0101  Security and privacy are not the same thing. And on the privacy front, an open source code base is by definition miles away better than a closed source one. Unless you install the closed source one on a computer with no Internet connection (now nor ever). Yeah, you're not auditing the full code by yourself, but it is still looked at by some people and they usually do shout out when something fishy is there. Look at Audacity for an example.
