However boring it may be when you see basically the same install for 25th time (not an exagerration on DT's videos), it is important for bringing new users to Linux. We've simply grown out of this phase, I'd say. DT still teaches 6th grade maths, and we're all here because we like DT, even though we're 9th graders now.
So getting back to the point, whenever an important distro is released, it's good to have coverage of it. Doesn't matter if other people are doing it, you, as a content creator, should do your thing, your spin on it. Everybody covering it - YT picks it up as an important topic and so it can reach to those outside of the bubble. And when a new-to-Linux user is curious, he should be able to trivially find beginner-friendly videos for exactly the latest versions of whatever he's searching for. And that's exactly what DT is doing. A new user will not know that there are other distros or that the same distro, the version from 5 years ago, installs the same. If you only find old videos in a topic, that gives the impression that topic/thing is abandoned.
