  2. Totally! I would be interested to see a 9900K with 4 cores shut down and be compared vs 6700K to see the real difference between Skylake and Skylake+++. Btw, apparently, to Intel, the sky IS the limit LOL

  3. But, you know, maybe you do have a 2nd or 3rd gen intel CPU and you want to upgrade to a better processor which can keep up as much as possible, like 5-7 years. In this case, even though it's very expensive, a 9900K might be good, as it will the games/applications where it's 60% better than a 6700K will increase, and having only one upgrade in 6 years might actually be cheaper than 2 smaller upgrades at 3 years.

  4. And not to mention how bad the AI is (or was, haven't checked in months what's new in Civ 6). And seeing the almost-non-existant difference between 8700 and 8600 means tells me that they don't even multithread properly. Such weak realease this Civ 6 was, quite sad. Despite some of it's very good improvements.

  5. I don't know benchmarks for DF, buuut, from what I know, it's actually CPU intensive. The feeble graphics are actually a must-have when so many things are actually taken into account. I think you can play it even with a Pentium 3, but your max speed of the game might be quite low.
