@briliantlysplendid that's the that Khromno told - NVidia overproduced the 10 series in order to cope with miners. Now that they aren't actually buying them anymore, we're left with old & expensive cards. Well, at least in theory, I don't really have a clue of how much the miners actually impacted GPU stock and prices.

@obvious_humor You can certainly hate the player, when he's not doing something for survival, but it does affect other people who have nothing to do with the game, in a game completely made by humans which is also constantly changing. It's true that foreseeing an increase of GPU prices is not something that a normal person is capable of, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be touched. A fraction of people actually use GPUs for work and these people have every right to be mad at miners (and DRAM prices going up). Also, Rudy Sal 14 question of "why mine on a card made for graphics" is a direct reponse to your "what is the point of a GPU, if not to process graphics?". How could you miss this one out ???
