@dm8579 1) Yes, it CAN help. If both USA and EU have been acting faster on the helping side (some of which they themselves set the deadline), maybe Ukraine would've recovered the territory by now 2) Ukraine didn't ask just for money, it requested other things too, like the ability to use rockets in Russia 3) Don't act as if US has absolutely nothing to gain. A weakened Russia means more gas exports (which it already increase) for USA, and a lot of weapons selling to all ex-soviet countries that want to get rid of Russia, like the baltic states, Ukraine, Georgia, not to mention the increase of military spending for most of NATO, which a good portion comes back to USA as weapons sold 4) In the end it's still up to USA how it uses its own money, you can't fault Zelensky for asking

@pong-sx9je What US army ? And what agreement ? The Minsk one where Russia agreed to basically nothing ? Also, you don't get to start a war just on what might happen. You don't go and kill HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of innocent people because you're not sure. You don't annex regions of foreign territory "because you're defensive". The amount of logic in these kind of statements is so lacking, it's not even funny. Russia absolutely did NOT had to intervene, it was totally just their choice and fault. And in your example with Mexico, the same thing - US has absolutely no basis on attacking and annexing 20% of Mexico just because Mexico built some military bases. With or without Russia's help. Get into the 3rd millenium please, we have things like basic human rights here.

@attilaedem101 Just because others didn't had the opportunity to ask for "a sugar daddy" in the past, it doesn't mean that one shouldn't ask for help. That's totally irellevant. The hell are you smoking ? When faced with extinction, people do whatever they can to survive. How can you be against asking for help ? In case you're not aware, Ukraine is NOT forcing USA to send help, that might've missed your point of view. And my country is not Ukraine, you tool.

@McClainJ On the preparation argument, fair point. Not so sure about the nuclear arsenal, I'd say it's better to stay off it. Realistically do you think it could've used it in any way, shape or form, without making things much worse for themselves in the long run ?
