It's ok, we'll just spend 90% of our time watching programming videos on YouTube, and no one will know then :D

That's what's nice in RAR, it has a flag for that. If you want to compress a huge library of pictures or videos for example, you might want to have them independently compressed. But a large database or text-like files or things like a complete game / program you might want to compress the whole archive.

One vibe, I don't know why, it doesn't even matter how hard I try

I somewhat agree. But I'd say it's not Wordpress per-se that's pure trash, but some of the plugins that are written for it. WP itself is quirky, but it's not that bad. Admittedly I haven't checked it in several years. I remember it having extremely backwards compatibility which I respect a lot (like still supporting PHP 4 in 2013 or so) That being said, WP doesn't impose any kind of style or order when you make a theme or plugin. And maaaan, by FAR the worst code I saw, things that literally make you shout "HOW TF IS THIS SO F*****ING STUPID?" were in some plugins for Wordpress. Which is partially the fault of WP, but in principle I don't dislike the idea of freedom, so I can't fully fault WP for allowing this kind of dumpster fires. The community should filter out the pure trash plugins and promote sane-written ones.

@kvasir8931 What is wrong with you ? You pay in order to support its existance. It's ok if you don't because you don't have the money (like young people do, or people from poor countries). But having this mentality of "why pay when you can get it free" is so stupid and damaging, it's the reason why we can't have nice things today on the Internet. I really hope that the normal, average person, the ones which also have some disposable income and at least half a brain, get to be normal for them to pay for things they are using and they like. Even if they can access it for free. You don't need triple digits IQ to realize that if almost nobody pays for something, that something will disappear. Or it will get twisted into a horrible disgusting hack of predatory tactics in order to get some money. Then it will disappear.

@dodgsonwevegotdodgsonhere9970 Yes you do. More than the people who don't. WTF

And less time parsing code that is not used

@Lernos1 If you don't pay them because you don't like them, that's ok, that's a valid reason. There can be arguments made both ways, but all in all, not supporting shady practices I guess it's one of them. In this case constantly trying to find alternatives and supporting those to grow and get market share should also be something you do. My response above was to the general mindset of "why pay something you can get for free?". That is, regardless of other reasons. And as if you can't get to know better.

But does Devin have access to coffee and/or Coke/Pepsi ? No ? Then, it can't compete.

Yeah, I think that getting Linus Torvalds to adopt a language for the Linux kernel is like the greatest ad a language can have.

Search here on YouTube "TempleOS Down the Rabbit Hole" I think that's the first full length documentary on TempleOS and Terry Davis and it's almost one and a half hour long.
