@illdeletethismusic I meant in practical terms, what does GPL3 to fix Android ? If I remember correctly Linus Torvalds specifically didn't like /agree with GPL3

@illdeletethismusic Thanks for the refresher. I think it's hard to judge. Because, if Linux would get GPL3, it will not be funded and contributed upon anymore, as companies will try to find and/or build another GPL2 or less open thing. Like you said, Azure probably wouldn't exist. If the GPL3 would've been active 15 years ago, maybe even Android wouldn't exist. Or it wouldn't've been using the Linux kernel.
