  1. I find it's essential to set boundaries at the outset of a new relationship, friendship, job. If you've allowed certain insults or bad behavior to start and continue, it's very difficult to backtrack and start fresh. That said, if the insults are ongoing, I would walk away and move on. It's only going to get worse.
