I can admit it hurts, sat there like it didn't, but it gets worse with time and hitting a nerve reaches deep inside explaining why it's a proverbial nerve and not easilyforgotten, makes lesser men fold, and tough nuts grit their teeth. In my opinion it's what you imagine being drawn on with a soldering iron would be like, a burning rather than a pricking.

  2. Eat and hydrate beforehand that's important for sure, but remember the more hydrated you are the thinner your blood becomes, creating increased bleeding, best medical practice used to be hydrate wounded soldiers, until they realised it was like a coagulant helping soldiers bleed out.

I envy you though, I pretended it didn't phase me, but by the end I was screaming on the inside and it got harder and harder to fake my indifference, went to the pub after that but I felt crook and stayed in the car, tried to sleep it off, but the doctor said I went into shock and could've died, I just felt worn out, and although I wasn't cold I went from shivering to convulsions, thought I was gonna die from a dirty needle but not even lol was just shock, luckily it only happened the first time.
