@atanasvasilev3228 Novgorod was a Scandinavian settlement, related to what is now russia as much as Volga Bulgaria. The area later became colony of Rus' land, and local Varangians extracted and payed tribute to Kyiv.
Wikipedia:Ruthenia[a] is an exonym, originally used in Medieval Latin, as one of several terms for Kievan Rus'.[1] Originally, the term Rus' land referred to a triangular area, which mainly corresponds to the tribe of Polans in Dnieper Ukraine.[2] Ruthenia was used to refer to mainly Ukrainians and Belarusians". There were different Ruthenian states, including Kievan Rus', Kingdom of Ruthenia, Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Cossack Hetmanate and modern ones.

@atanasvasilev3228 Wikipedia:"In Kievan Rus', the name Rus', or Rus'ka zemlia (land of Rus'), described the lands between Kiev, Chernihiv and Pereyaslav, corresponding to the tribe of Polanians, which started to identify themself as Rus' (Ukrainian: Русь, Русини) approximately in 9th century."
This pretty easily ruins any your attempts to falsify history.
In Kievan Rus', Rus' land referred to the territory of Ukraine. And so, naturally, Rus' land became Ukraine.
The territory in north was divided between different colonial power like Kyiv, Scandinavia and Mongolia. "russia" itself appeared on the Mongol territory only in 1600, it had no previous history. And so it is a weird mess of artificial state, with only russian nationalists trying to seek "ancient great ancestory".

And, of course, no signs of "ancient russia", the territory was divided between different colonial power like Kyiv, Scandinavia and Mongolia. "russia" itself appeared on the Mongol territory only in 1600, and so it doesn't have any previous history. Only russian nationalists try to seek their "ancient great ancestory", which doesn't exist.

@atanasvasilev3228 don't blame me, this is what the actual chronicle said: "Rus' people, which were previously called Polans", "Those people Novgorodians are from Varangian race", and "Oleg imposed tribute on Slovenes, Kriviches and Merya". The riddle is how does this all relates to "russia"? 😂
Later, during Civil War the chronicle says:"Yaroslav assembled 1000 Varangians and others, and rushed towards Sviatopolk. When Sviatopolk (in Kyiv) heard about this, he assembled many Rus' and Pechenegs, and opposed him near the city of Liubetch".
[1018]:Boleslav, with Sviatopolk rushed towards Yaroslav, with Poles. Yaroslav (in Kyiv) assembled many Rus', Varangians and Slavs and came to Volhynia, and they were standing on the river of Buga". So during internal conflicts, people in Ukraine are still called Rus'.

@atanasvasilev3228 Chronicle:"Then the Polanians, after consulting, gave them a sword of smoke. And the Khazars brought this to their prince and their elders, and said to them, "Behold, we have found a new tribute." And they asked them: "Where did you get it?" And they said to them, "In the forest on the mountains, above the river Dnipro." And they asked: "What did they give you?" And they showed a sword, and the Khazar elders said: "This is not a good tribute, Prince. We got it with one-sided weapons, that is, sabers, and these people gived double-edged weapons, that is, swords. These people will take tribute from us and from other lands." And all this came to pass, for they spoke not of their own accord, but by God's command."
