Given the IJN's impressive skill at night fighting like at Savo Island did they ever give any thought to using their carriers at night and if so what plans and tactics did they have and if not why not as it would seem a bit odd for a fleet so good and not a tiny bit obsessed with night fighting would leave one part of that navy wanting?

@WALTERBROADDUS While true it would have been lets say intresting to try. Its not impossible the Birtish were able to do it in 1940 so it was possible, yes it wouldn't have been plesent to do but still i would have thought they came up with some ideas.
