Glad to see some realism in the comments for a change. It's practically delusional to be spending for sending lifeforms to Mars, when robotics do it all, while risking and harming no one, and at a small fraction of the costs. Musk must have a screw loose. I like space and space fantasy, but that ship is nobody's fantasy. Terrible accommodations, as well as butt ugly.

Unforgivable oversight not being able to clean the panels.

Pretty ridiculous to not include the most obvious reason for alien contact- they need a new home. Their planet is dying or will, or did.

If you own a cell phone you have no privacy. Forget about satellite snooping.

4 months in Winter is it?

Whatever would be the motivation to call the moon, 'home'? These groundless fantasies had a place in the imagination of previous generations. Whereas today we have the capabilities to remotely go wherever captivates us, without having to leave the safety of our true home.

@Mr.56Goldtop So bland. Where is you spirit? ... but realistic. Agree. But what is to be done with all of the naive bainiacs? They are a depression prone lot, after all.
2
@Mr.56Goldtop No kidding! Leave the solar system? What the hell for!?! Perhaps Mars is doable, but barely. The human body hates space long-term. And you know some things will go wrong in the 3 year round trip. Everyone will sleep better if the passenger is robotic. The money saved on life support could go to a second mission if justified. With loss of life, that's it. No second mission. Let's see Titan and Europa... remotely.

How can a white male be depicted as being creative and inspired to paint an African woman in traditional headdress? An AI contextual Fail!
2
Humans must remain where they are, but we can go anywhere remotely. Onwards...

Nothing rivals the potential catastrophes unfolding in Ukraine. The failed launching of a Russian empire by means of war, places all other concerns on the back burner. The world is changing before our eyes, and we have no idea how it will turn out. This is no time for debating pronouns .

Natives weren't doing well before contact either. They would still be doing the same not well today. To what end? Besides, viruses would have eventually done the very same decimations.

Space travel itself is extremely toxic. Zero gravity, cosmic rays, micro meteorites, etc. The entire universe is essentially mined with hazards. We are obviously supposed to stay right where we are.

Being the 4th to do anything is not any kind of a 'record'. Whose kidding who with that political hyperbole.
1
@death_parade The achievement value is there. But, calling an achievement a record, as in record-setting, simply violates the definition. Redefining words to suite social agendas is a common practice these days.
