  1. There are 'The 2 Great Lies' that have been acknowledged about American society, at least from time to time- 1. You can be whatever you want, and, 2. You can have it all... right now. Work/Life Balance is the purpose of the traditional family unit structure- with a dedicated female as homemaker, and a dedicated male as moneymaker. This partnership has been successfully serving homo sapiens for 200k years.
