  1. Given that myth making has been a male endeavor, any siren story originates from male psychology. As part of male psychology then, wouldn't a connection between the male anima unconscious and siren tales be reasonable? In that connection, Freud's death wish makes its way into the siren archetype, giving men a death fantasy, rather than subliminal fear of female, male-hating, revenge.
