  1. merry meet A greeting used by witches, pagans, and Wiccans in speech and in writing. It stands for the words of a chant, "merry meet and merry part and merry meet again," commonly used at the end of ceremonies. "Merry meet" can also used as a closing or goodbye, but blessed be is the more common way to sign a letter or say goodbye.
