Did the inner-child revisit to childhood, to settle things with my emotionally absent parents. Rather oddly, I became aware of them as adult kids themselves, just trying to do their best. Compassion for them released me to feel better about us all.

@Linn Depending on where you are from, this can be as much cultural as familial. If possible, see if you can give your parents a 'get out of jail' card.
