  1. My understanding has feelings, not the raw, unfiltered emotions, as being rational decision making functions, along with the thinking functions. And, the perceiving functions, intuition and sensing, being irrational functions. Quickly reacting to misperceptions is a common problem and is what is being discouraged when advised to 'calm down'.
