Noway would the people of the US support another SE Asian War. Stop war mongering! Let Taiwan and China negotiate unification, much like Hong Kong.

Orcs want to capture US drone technology, as well as exchange it with Iran and N. Korea. What an axis powerhouse!
7
Clearly the Pentagon is running scared. Their standard military model is becoming more irrelevant by the hour. Yesterday, Middle East oil. Today, cheap China offshore manufacturing. All while US cultural decay has defiled it's own world leadership abilities.
6
Chinese made toothbrushes are no good anymore. That is a very big problem for them to sort out.
5
Nine minutes in and it's obvious- making Sevastopol unusable by Orcs is the most effective strategy. Let's see...
4
The defense to any attack is the counterattack.
4
And nothing about excessive emissions, and lack of representation by blacks, gays and women.
3
Belongs in the tank museum. The tank era has come to an end.
2
Armor not only has little future, the present is shockingly vulnerable with horrible outcomes.
1
@ataarono Not much need to do so. The battlefield is mostly not on the ground. It's electronic and remote.
1
Poland evidently has not gotten the memo on tank obsolescence in near peer combat.
1
@Gridlocked Poland is getting the Tanks that the US Marine Corp. has gotten rid of, for the reason stated. The US Army is not yet convinced. Let's see how the war progresses. If Russia rips into armor with ease during Ukrainian counter offensives, I think we will have our answer.
1
@dispen275 You bought that explanation?
1
@dispen275 Why? Beaches have not changed. Something else has though.
1
@Gridlocked How much fast paced mission capability gets diverted to protecting armored assets, becomes the dilemma. Speed of combat has left the tank behind. Where speed is irrelevant, there is the Army.
1
@Gridlocked Let's see what roles and what success Ukraine has with their tanks, when or if they ever mount large counter attacks. The orcks may do the same to Ukrainian armor.

Well now... More than ever, these staged pieces of muscle furniture are obsolete. Worse- they have become irrelevant. Jets were never much more than missile and precision bombing platforms, with unbelievably expensive maintenance and operation costs and logistics. It takes no brains at all to see the future, and it does not include vast air forces, nor vast armor inventories, just sitting around waiting for the day they become obsolete, prior to even being called to combat. Make the insane spending stop, USA!
1
@Rob_F8F The bigger picture is, that the battlefield, as such, no longer exists. Remote recon, along with high precision munitions has all high value targets attacked in the rears of contact. Defensive countermeasures has offensive tactics pushed back hundreds of kilometers. Occupation is a different story of course, but who the hell is stupid enough to go through what it takes to get there. Then endless insurgency and counterinsurgency fighting. And even then... look at Afghanistan, $2 trillion later, vets with head trauma, and prosthetics for life is what we have for our efforts.

@yopyop3241 What does, One China Policy mean if not some form of eventual negotiated unification? That is both US and China policy. The rest is militarism run-amuck. The South China Sea issue is quite something else. But that is easily patrolled by local Coast Guards of the countries with territorial waters.
1
@yopyop3241 And you need to figure out that US's existence was centered on domestic tranquility and the pursuit of happiness, rather than chasing communists in their own backyards. Trillion dollar defense budgets should tip you off that the US has lost grasp on how to be the 'beacon on the hill', to rest of the world, rather than, 'the destroyer of worlds.'
1
@yopyop3241 China would still have dog on the menu, but the West admitted it into the WTO. There are always limited resources. Scarcity, however, is a state of mind. That is the killer.
1
I doubt that there will be any manned jet fighters, by the end of the decade, being posed as threats or deterrents to near-peer enemies.
1
There needs to be an international timeout on all this internet weapons race hype.
