  6. Nonsense! Baseline happiness always returns. The point is- happier baseline people pair-up. Unhappier baseline people can't pair-up as easily, so singlehood is a less compromised lifestyle. While those with high neuroticism are less unhappy as singles than as couples.

  14. I'm very pro-coupling. But it was a real shocker to read about older women's views on having children. Many, if not most, were disappointed in old age and would not choose to do it again.
