  1. Yes legally it belongs to Romania, EU and NATO. Meaning that Ukraine and Russia are fighting on a Romanian NATO territory, being de facto at war with Romania and NATO. NATO and Romania are guilty of not securing their strategic territory. It seems that nobody is normal there.

Russia for sure is carrying a war on others territory, including the maritime area of a NATO country, without any diplomatical and military reactions. I am pretty sure that the Nordic countries will be able to defend their investments in the coastal areas, even if the people in the NATO countries are supporting Russia against the other NATO countries.

The national defense is the responsibility and the duty of the national military, NATO may follow or not.   18. Snake Island is legally Romanian NATO EU territory. Meaning NATO has no intention to defend its territory. Waiting for mass graves in Romania. Good luck to everyone with such musical alliances, politicians and officials.
