The suits were not plastic, rather a material called beta cloth, a Teflon-coated fiberglass, whilst different materials may be employed to shield against varying forms and intensities of radiation. Zippers had been used for decades in pressurised diving suits and flight suits. YKK's watertight and airtight zippers (through which neither water nor air can pass) are also used from the chest around to the back of space suits. The A7L suits were only pressurised to 3.7psi. You haven't got the remotest idea what you are talking about.
