The war with Vietnam did not start until 1965. Ultimately, one of the reasons for the premature cancellation of Apollo was that was also out of favour with public opinion and like Apollo and the Nixon administration was able to divert some of the funding to the war effort. Ultimately, America pulled out of Vietnam the following year also due to public and political opposition and cost in addition to being ill equipped to fight a guerilla war. "We would have destroyed the moon in a decade, had we really got there." There were six moon landings between 1969 and 1972 and twelve men walked on its surface - that's all. Following the cancellation of the programme neither the USA or any nation on the planet was prepared to fund the obscene cost of further crewed missions to the moon.

Very simply, why aren't you out there making a name for yourself and doing the right thing by falsifying Isaac Newton and plate tectonics and overturning established scientific expertise? @80sbeginner Qantas jets fly non-stop between Sydney and Johannesburg, which is an impossibly long distance on a flat earth, but perfectly feasible on a globe. Same for LATAM flights between Santiago and Auckland. And in each case the flights arc south over the Southern Ocean. Perhaps you could seek advice from your imaginary friends or army of emojis?
