  1. This is nothing whatsoever to do with Joe Biden - or the previous policies of Donald Trump. Disruptions to supplies, high commodity prices, factory closures and political tensions are helping to push up prices worldwide. Global food prices have surged because of droughts in North and South America and heavy rain in Europe, and the supply chain problems that came with the easing of coronavirus restrictions. All of this has driven global inflation.
