What on Earth are you talking about? It wasn't the first thing that they did at all. Sure they took some pictures, but the filming didn't commence until Neil Armstrong stepped out on to the ladder having activated the MESA unit containing a Westinghouse camera. This was six hours and thirty nine minutes after landing on the lunar surface. There are no "points on fakery" at all - you simply thing that they are, because you allow yourself to be duped by online conspiracy theory about a subject that you clearly have zero prior knowledge and understanding of whatsoever.

Money. In 1972, the Apollo Programme was prematurely cancelled by Congress due to cost, unsustainability and a lack of political and public will. This meant that the specialist processes, plants, tooling, expertise and above all, the heavy lift capability was all abandoned and became obsolete. The emphasis shifted to the commercial appeal of low Earth orbit and the white elephant that was the Space Shuttle which failed to deliver on it's pledged financial returns and launch cadence. Also, the construction of the ISS was a huge project. Deep space exploration meantime, became the preserve of unmanned probes and robotic landers. Project Artemis which will eventually return crewed missions to the surface of the moon was only approved as recently as 2018. It has been a painstaking and protracted process rebuilding the capability with new technology and a fraction of the budget of Apollo.

Or could you possibly be talking about yet more quote mined conspiracy theory taking Terry Virts out of context who was discussing the then current lack of a heavy lift capability by which to sent crewed spaceflights beyond low Earth orbit?
